      Hey normal,

Diamonds are almost only found in volcanic rock. But a rare type of volcanic rock called kimberlite. These are formed very deep within the Earth’s mantle, 150 – 450 km below the surface! They are then transported up through the crust and make their way through vertical volcanic pipes to get to the surface.
