Question: What is your favourite experiment you have ever conducted?

Hey ecosystem321.

My favourite experiment was conducted on a huge volcano in Bolivia. It took us 2 days to get there and a few more days for all of our equipment to arrive but once we got started it was a lot of fun.

We hired a 4×4 van and drove all around the volcano taking different measurements. It’s so isolated there you have to make sure you take enough food not to starve and enough petrol so that you don’t get stuck! We could only shower once a week cause water was scarce and I couldn’t shave so ended the trip with a big beard, but it was an amazing experience. I also felt a big earthquake while I was there, and we managed to sneak over the border into Chile and Peru for a bit as well :D.
