Hi Ryan! I think the one volcano on Earth I would like to visit most is Mount Erebus in Antarctica. It would be amazing to visit Antarctica on its own, but the fact that there’s a volcano and that is has a lava lake would be incredible!
But if I could get off Earth, I think the first volcano on my list would be Olympus Mons which is a gigantic volcano on Mars! We think it is the biggest one in the Solar System…
It doesn’t have to be dangerous. You can study them from safe distances. Or just work on dormant or extinct volcanoes where there is a much smaller chance of an eruption.
Very few scientists die at volcanoes because we have an idea of when they might go off. In which case we get out of there!
