For me, the best bit of being a scientist is definitely the experiments and playing with all the fancy machines! Also, finding things out that have never been found before is pretty cool!

I like using the fact I’m a scientist in unexpected ways. I like figuring things out but also like using it to help people who are sick and like the challenge of explaining the science behind what I do to people having treatment etc. There is some pretty hard Physics behind it which scares a lot of people so i have to work hard to help them understand it!

Hi fluffman11! For me, the best bit about being a scientist is trying to work out new ideas that no one else has ever come up with before. This can be really exciting, especially if what you come up with has really big effects – like the development of the internet for example, which is allowing you to get in touch with us for this project…

Doing big experiments is also really cool, especially when mine are on volcanoes around the world :).

Ahh that’s good question fluffman11! Well it depends what type of scientist you are! For me, I absolutely love to do new and interesting experiments and getting amazing results, using huge and complicated machines and keep thinking about my experiments, all the day long.
Some other scientist do surveys only. For me, it boring…sorry..
Real science is actually when you do real experiments.
