Hi jf43420! I am working on bacterial disease-causing machinery. I discovered the functioning of this machinery. Now we know that how exactly it works. And surprisingly, many different types of bacteria use the same mechanism. So, what we are doing? We are making a different type of medicine which will be effective to kill many different bacteria, and so we will be able to stop many different types to diseases.
Secondly, do you know that the traditional types of medicines are no more effective, because clever bacteria do mutation (change in their genes) and those medicine are now unable to kill bacteria. We need a totally different type of weapon (medicines), which directly can damage the disease-causing machines in bacteria. Currently, we are working on cholera disease, which causes millions of deaths every year.
